Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of konnect.klaudii.com and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Bryan Tinsley ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

      In plain terms: Kloud Konnect is a relay that lets you reach your own machine from anywhere. You own your data — we never see it. Use it responsibly and don't do anything you wouldn't be comfortable explaining to a judge.
    

1. What the Service Does

Kloud Konnect provides an encrypted relay between your browser and a paired Klaudii server running on hardware you control. All API payloads are end-to-end encrypted; the relay forwards ciphertext it cannot read. We provide the plumbing — you own the data flowing through it.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate.

3. Your Account

You sign in via Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at privacy@klaudii.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

Violate any applicable law or regulation
Access, tamper with, or disrupt systems you do not own or have explicit permission to access
Transmit malware, ransomware, or other malicious code
Attempt to reverse-engineer, bypass, or circumvent the relay's security mechanisms
Resell or sublicense access to the relay to third parties
Engage in any activity that places unreasonable load on the relay infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions without prior notice.

5. Your Data and Security

Your Connection Key — the secret used to encrypt all traffic — is generated on your machine and never transmitted to our servers. You are solely responsible for keeping it secure. If your Connection Key is compromised, unpair and re-pair your server immediately to generate a new one.

We do not access, monitor, or store the content of any API requests or responses routed through the relay. See our Privacy Policy for full details on what data we do collect.

6. Service Availability

We provide the Service on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee any specific uptime, availability, or performance. The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unavailability of the Service.

7. Intellectual Property

The Kloud Konnect relay software is open source. The Klaudii name, logo, and associated branding are owned by Bryan Tinsley. Nothing in these Terms grants you a license to use our trademarks.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRYAN TINSLEY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED $100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bryan Tinsley from any claim, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by unpairing your server and deleting your account. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify users.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the United States.
